Caulfield To Dandenong – Level Crossing Removal Project

The Level Crossing Removal Project – Caulfield to Dandenong (LCRPCTD) is currently underway to reduce congestion along Melbourne’s busiest train line.

The following level crossings will be removed as a part of the works: Grange Road, Koornang Road, Murrumbeena Road, Poath Road, Clayton Road, Centre Road, Corrigan Road, Heatherton Road and Chandler Road.

Five new stations will be built along the route at Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Hughesdale, Clayton and Noble Park along with infrastructure upgrade works for signalling and power supply along the entire Cranbourne and Pakenham lines to support the introduction of new High Capacity Metro Trains.

CDR Geotech have been contracted by the LLECPB Crossing Removal Joint Venture to provide geotechnical services along the rail corridor which includes testing for the station removals/upgrades, elevated rail piers and associated piling pads, services upgrades and general site works.
